Project Overview

GNB Noticeboard was created as a digital space to support humanitarian efforts, community giving, and social change. The platform is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), serving as a tool to engage global users around shared causes.

One of its core features is the “Pound a Month Campaign” – a powerful concept built on the idea that even £1 per month, if contributed by millions, could drive significant progress on global challenges. The platform was designed to make that contribution effortless, transparent, and community-driven.

My Role

As the Product Designer, I was part of this project from the very beginning – shaping its purpose, structure, and experience. But this wasn’t a typical product cycle. Since GNB Noticeboard was a non-profit initiative, it often took a back seat to commercial priorities. We’d pick it up during downtime, push a bit further, then pause again as other deadlines took over.

Despite that, I stayed closely involved – leading the UX research, wireframes, and UI design, driven by the belief that this platform could truly make a difference. I worked hand-in-hand with the product owner, revisiting ideas and refining flows whenever we got the chance.

It’s been a long, on-and-off journey – more of a dream project than a sprint – but every step was taken with care and commitment to the cause.
